This trip offers a breathtaking and unforgettable trek through the snowy peaks of the Himalayan ranges.  29th of May 1953 by Tenzing Norgay and Edmound Hillary who both explored the top of the world Since then, it has been the dream of many adventurers to get up close to Mount Everest. The scenery is simply breathtaking with parades of glistening peaks, stunning glaciers around, ancient and ornate monasteries. Obviously the fascinating Sherpa people, their culture and tradition add more charm on this historical trek to base camp

Everest base camp trek is an awe-inspiring trek which is famous amongst the travelers from all around the world as it offers dazzling view of Mount Everest along with other famous mountains and peaks. The Everest region encompasses some of the highest mountains in the world. Of the 14 highest mountains on Earth which are over 8,000 meters, four are in the two national parks located in the Everest region, Sagarmatha National Park Mount Everest (8,848M), Lhotse (8,516M), Makalu (8,481M), and Cho Oyu (8,201M). Aside from the beauty of the Himalayas, this area includes natural wonders heritage site indexed by UNESCO.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1350 m), Drive transfer to hotel

A warm welcome to Nepal. Greetings from Yak and Yarsa Trekkers. Our representative will be waiting in the airport displaying your name to pick you from there and take you to the booked hotel. Overnight in hotel at Kathmandu.

Day 02 Free day at Kathmandu

Day 3 Flight to Lukla and trek to Phakding (2610m)3- 3.5 hours

Catch your early morning flight for Lukla which will be one of the life time experience which will offer you great view of Himalaya. Once you reach Lukla enjoy your breakfast and get ready yourself for hike along the Dudh Kosi to Phakding.

Day 3 Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazar (3440 m) 5-6 hours

Today after breakfast you will continue your trek upward Namche Bazaar. Initially, you will follow the trail along the bank of the Dudh Koshi river and cross the Dudh Koshi river. Later you will pass through a beautiful pine forest to Monjo.On the way, you will get the first glimpse of Mt.Kusum Kangro, Mt.Thamserku, Mt Everest, and Mt Nuptse.Thereafter, you will soon approach the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park then descend to the Dudh Koshi river.Here you will follow the steep climb to the beautiful village called the Namche Bazaar.

Day 4 acclimatization Day

An acclimatization day allows for an excursion to Thame and Khumjung, the green village. Enjoy your day hike around Everest view point and explore high mountains  

Day 5 Trek from Namche Bazar to Tengboche (3870 m)5-6 hours

In today’s trek, you will get breathtaking views of the Himalayas- Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam and many more. A short descend takes you to the riverside, then you will cross the river upwards through the forest pass.  Tengboche is the most beautiful place in the Everest region. You will get to visit Tengboche monastery which is one of the largest monasteries in Khumbu.

Day 6 Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche(4410 m) 5-6 hours

Today we will cross a bridge over the Imja river. And further, pass the valley wall and then traverse to the plains to Pangboche village. Pangboche is the biggest settlement of Sherpas in the Khumbu region. Here you will get the opportunity to observe a typical Sherpa village and have lunch with the local Trek will be a challenging one. The landscapes give way to dry, deserted mountains as you hike towards Dingboche.


An acclimatization day here can be used to hike up the Imja Khola to Chhukung or Nagarzhang Peak, a small summer settlement from where stunning views of Island Peak, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and the fluted ice walls flanking the Amphu Lapcha pass can be seen. These views are one of the highlights of the entire trek.

Day 8 Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche(4940 m) 5-6 hours

Henceforth the trek will gradually be more challenging due to the higher altitude. You will pass Dungla and to the top of the hill after a steep walk.Here you will see the memorial stupas dedicated to the climbers and trekkers who lost their lives in the Everest.The next part of your adventure takes you over mountain terrain to Lobuche. Lobuche is a small settlement with amazing views of Mt. Lobuche, Mt Pumari, and Mt.  Nuptse. Prepare yourselves for a colder night as you are now almost three miles above sea level.

Day 9 Trek from Lobuche to GorakShep (5164 m) 6-7hour

The trek starts with an initial easy trek from Lobuche to Gorak Shep. The subsequent straight trail to EBC is harder, involving rocky dunes and moraine. On the way to the destination, you will approach the famous Khumbu Glacier and Ice-falls in the region. If it is spring season you will get chance to meet Everest climbers attempting to scale the Everest summit. After spending about 2-3 hours in EBC, you will move back to Gorakshep.

Day 10 Trek from Gorakshep to Periche(4371 m) 6-7 hours

Try to see a different view of Everest today, with a trek up to Kala Pattar. Known to have the best views of Everest, this is a challenging trek, but worth it on a clear day.  Descend in the direction of Pheriche where you will stop for the night.

Day 11 Trek from Periche to Namche Bazar (3440 m)5-6 hours

The walk from Pheriche back to Tengboche is mainly downhill and is much easier.

By late afternoon you will reach Namche 

Day 12Trek from Namche to Lukla (2860 m) 6-7 hours

Continue the downhill descent from Kyangjuma, heading for Monjo. Follow the ascents and descents on the path and enjoy the view. Enjoy your last day walk towards Lukla

Day 13 Fly back to Kathmandu from Lukla domestic Airport

Catch the short flight back to Kathmandu, where the rest of the day is free for shopping, 

Day 14: Departure transfer to international airport

Relying on your flight schedule Yak and Yarsa Trekkers representative will pick you up from your hotel and drop you to the international airport for your departure. Have a nice flight.
