Annapurna Conservation area is Nepal’s first largest protected area established in 1985 and gazette in 1992. It covers 7,629 Sq Kms (2,946Sq Miles) in various regions of high Himalayas. It ranges in altitude from 790 meters(2590ft) to the Peak of Annapurna First at 8091 mtrs (26,545 ft). The conservation area stretches across Manang, Mustang, Kaski, Myagdi and different parts of Lamjung District. It is managed by the National trust for Nature Conservation. Annapurna Conservation areas encompass the various trekking route and expedition of various peaks and mountain inside, along with Annapurna Sanctuary Annapurna Circuit. Ghorepani-Poonhill trekking is one of the best trekking destinations. It is located nearby gorgeous nature city Pokhara in Annapurna. Ghorepani- Poonhill trekking is an easy and moderate, unforgettable trekking. This trekking is suitable for all kind of individuals. Ghorepani – Poonhill Trekking is fitted for family trekking and also an idea for them who want to see very close view of Himalayas in short time table. Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival Tribhuwan International Airport (1400 m)

As you arrive at the Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu, our representative will welcome you. We will take you to the hotel. Our tour operator will give you brief information about day to day program. Later, you can spend the remaining time exploring Kathmandu old market and relaxing.

Day 2 Free day at Kathmandu

Day 3 Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara By Private Vehicle(800 m) 6-7 hours

Early morning, after breakfast, board a bus and drive to Pokhara. It’s a drive of about 8 hours through lush green forest, meandering road through the hills and gracefully flowing riversides. You will also come across lively markets and clusters of villages on the way. Lunch will be taken in one of the road side restaurants. Upon reaching in Pokhara, you will be received and driven to the hotel. Check into hotel

Day 4 Drive from Pokhara to Nayapool, then trek from Nayapool to Thikhedhunga (1540 m) 3-4 hours

Nayapool is also known as the gateway of Annapurna Conservation Area situated at elevation of 1000mtrs. It is an entry and exit point of trekkers for Annapurna Trekking. Thikhedhunga is an ancient traditional village which is best place for one-night stand and named after stone:  Thikhe means sharp and Dhunga means Stone.

Day 5 Trek from Thikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2860 m) 6-7 hours

3700 steps of stair might be a breathtaking challenge for those trekkers who are disparate to reach in Ghorepani. The day begins with elevation of 1560 meters Thikhedhunga to Ghorepani 2860 meters.  Ghorepani is one of the most attractive and highlighted place of this 5 days trekking. Ghorepani is diverse in different way like climate, vegetation, spectacular views of landscapes and fascinating mountains. It passes from semi tropical foothill across the main Himalaya ranges to the rain shadow high plateaus of the North.

Day 6 Morning excursion at Poonhill and Trek to Tadapani (2660 m) 6-7 hours

Day begins with morning excursion of 1.5kms steep up to reach Poonhill. Poonhill offers panoramic views of mountains in 360 degrees. Mountains which lie in Annapurna Ranges and Dhaulagiri Ranges as well can be encountered. On the way to Tadapani most of the times need to walk through the ancient dense rhododendron forest. The path is moderate mud covered with sharp blended stone and classical which leads descend to Tadapani. Tadapani is a small village of Tea House setup by Annapurna Conservation Area (ACAP) and Ministry of Tourism for the comfort of travelers. Tadapani means Tada means Far and Paani means Water. If the weather is clear, closest view of Annapurna South and Fishtail can behold.

Day 7 Trek from Tadapani to Syaulebazar via Ghandruk(1140m) 6-7 hours

Ghandruk can be considered as the biggest inhabitants of Gurung Ethnics with traditional old section of slate roof and neat pathway. Ghandruk is the best place to observe and learn about Gurung traditions, culture and activities. It has been transformed from Old to modern section of houses for the trekkers. The modern Tea Houses and good western menu makes good reason for Trekkers to stay at Ghandruk. Further decent walk for 3-4 hours from Ghandruk can be reached at Syaulibazar. Syaulibazar is a small village located at bank of Modi River at elevation of 1160 meters. Humid and peace environment of Syaulibazar added more excitement and makes worth to spend last night in mountains.

Day 8 Trek from Syaulebazar to Nayapool then drive back to Pokhara (1000 m) 2 hours

One and half hour walk from Syaulebazar in flat motor road can be easily reached to Nayapool.  People harvesting and cultivating their land can be observed during the walk. Then back to Pokhara on Private vehicle for 1 and half hour approx. 41 kms.

Day 09: Drive Pokhara / Kathmandu

It takes about 6-7 hours to drive back to Kathmandu crossing over some mountain passes and rivers along the way.  After we reach Kathmandu, we transfer you to your hotel and rest time at your hotel. Overnight at Kathmandu hotel.

Day 10: Departure transfer to international airport

Relying on your flight schedule Yak and Yarsa Trekkers representative will pick you up from your hotel and drop you to the international airport for your departure. Have a nice flight.
