Terms and Conditions
Terms and Conditions are very important information for travellers who are willing to book trekking, and travel trips with Yak and Yarsa Trekkers. The Terms and Conditions contain the information to the client regarding the procedures of Booking Confirmation, Payment & Refund System, Cancellation and Other Charges levied as per policy. You are suggested to read and understand it carefully before declaration of booking any packages. The Booking Terms and Conditions constitute a legally required contract between Yak and Yarsa Trekkers along with you for the services to be provided by us and set out the basis of your legal relationship with our Company. The details of our Terms and Condition are listed below:
Bookings and Payments
To make a Booking you must send us a completely filled Booking Application Form, with 25% of payment of the Package you select, this will constitute acceptance by you of these Terms and Conditions. Rest 75% cost should be paid before starting of the Package. You need to submit a scan copy of passport of each member to our office via email. The Package will start only after full payments of the total trip cost. The cost is valid as agreed.
Your Financial Protection
Yak and Yarsa Trekkers is a fully licensed and bonded trek/tour operator. We hold License from Office of Company Register (Ministry of Industry), Department of Tourism, (Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation) Tourism Industry Division, Department of Tax (Ministry of Finance), Department of Foreign Currency Exchange, National Bank of Nepal. We are proud to be a member of TAAN (Trekking Agents Association of Nepal)
Making changes to your booking
If any of the information given on your booking form should change, e.g. passport number or contact details, it is important that you advise us immediately. Failure to do so may result in airlines or government authorities levying charges for which you would be liable. Please note if you change this later than two weeks of departure than we are unable to transfer your booking to an alternative holiday.
Passport size Photographs
please, carry 6 pieces of Passport Size photographs with you for all the trips. You might not need all six pieces for the entire trip featured in this site but in case you needed them, then you don’t have to run out to take them in Kathmandu.
Your Booking must be an accompanied with a 25% of trip cost per person. The deposit should be send through Bank to Yak and Yarsa Trekkers Account; remaining Balance money can be paid often arrival in Kathmandu prior to departure for trips; however, for booking within a week of time must be accompanied with a 50% of trip cost per person.
All information on this website is correct at the time of publication. Subsequently, this information can become outdated and inaccurate. We reserve the right, therefore, to change any of the information included on this website and this amended information will then form part of your booking contract with ourselves.
In order to collect information from you to making a booking through our company we may ask many questions to obtain the necessary permits etc. No private or personal information that you supply to us when making a booking will be disclosed for any other purposes.
Client is Responsible
A tour and trek guide who represents Yak and Yarsa trekkers deserves all authority during your tours. If you commit any unlawful act, you are compelled to leave the tour. No refund will be made in such case.
If cancellation is made before 30 Days of trip departure date, 15 % of the total trip cost will be charged as cancellation and rest will be refunded after deduction the processing charge of Nepal Rastra Bank to make a Bank Draft.
If cancellation made before 15 days of trip departure date, 25% of the total trip cost will be charged as cancellation and rest will be refunded after deduction the processing charge of Nepal Rastra Bank to make a Bank Draft.
Assumption of Risk
The Travelers understands that during the course of trip, certain risks and danger may occur, including the hazards of travelling is mountainous terrain, accident or illness in remote places without medical facilities and forces of nature.
The traveller agree to assume all risk associated with the journey and agrees that no liabilities will be attached to the company or its outsource, employees or agents, or to any member of the tour group in respect to death, personal injury, illness, or delay of travelers, or for any loss or damage to the property of travelers during the interval of trip, however caused.
It is a condition while booking packages with us that travelers must be retained by insurance themselves that covers cancellation, accidents, health issues, emergency evacuation and loss of items, thefts of or damage to baggage and personal effects. All cost for emergency evacuation must be paid in cash in Nepal unless an insurance company has agreed to pay the cost on your behalf. It is important that any insurance policy issued to cover emergency evacuation for treks/tours above 3000 m elevation.
A legal guardian must accompany all travelers under the age of sixteen. If you have a question regarding age and suitability, please contact us for further information.
You agree that Yak and Yarsa Trekkers may use images (Photographs), videos of yours taken during the trip without recourse to you and without compensation to you, for publicity and promotion purposes only through whatever medium it chooses.
On our trekking and tour packages, rooms are provided in twin sharing basis. Thus, single room supplement charge will be imposed to client who prefer to have own single room. During the trek in mountainous areas may have chance to share the rooms with more people.
